Cola, a 5-year-old dog, lost her back legs during the pandemic lockdown in India. Rescued by Kannan Animal Welfare in Delhi, she was cared for and underwent leg amputations. In March 2023, Cola was shipped to New York to a partner organization called Twenty Paws. There, she received immense love, care, and a special 3D-printed wheelchair crafted by 3DPets and supported by Joey’s Paws.
Cola quickly adapted to her new life without limits. Her inspiring journey caught the attention of Royal Canine, a pet food brand, which generously offered a year’s supply of dog food for her future family. In December 2024, a loving couple in Orange County, New York, adopted Cola. The couple already had three rescued dogs and two rescued cats, including another amputee dog.
Now, Cola enjoys playing and running alongside her new family and siblings. Her story is a testament to how love and support can provide pets with a new chance at life.
