WAUKESHA, Wis. — Nikita Casap, a 17-year-old from Wisconsin, is facing federal charges for allegedly murdering his mother and stepfather as part of a broader plot to assassinate President Donald Trump and incite national chaos, according to newly unsealed court documents.

Casap was arrested in March, several weeks after the bodies of his mother, Tatiana Casap, 35, and stepfather, Donald Mayer, 51, were found decomposed inside their Waukesha home during a welfare check on February 28. Authorities believe the murders occurred on February 11. Tatiana was discovered beneath a pile of blankets near the kitchen, while Mayer was found in a first-floor office with a gunshot wound to the head.

Federal investigators allege that Casap committed the murders to achieve “financial means and autonomy” to advance a radical plan targeting national leaders. A three-page manifesto recovered from his phone reportedly details intentions to create political instability by assassinating Trump and other officials. The document stated, in part, “By eliminating the president and possibly the vice president, we are guaranteed to create some chaos.”

Investigators say the teen had been consuming and sharing extremist content online, including neo-Nazi propaganda and antisemitic messages. Images of Adolf Hitler and slogans such as “Hail Hitler” and “Hail the white race” were discovered on his phone, along with communications accusing Jewish people of promoting “white genocide.”

According to the FBI, Casap had contacted an individual in Russia and was reportedly in communication with others aware of his plans. Authorities say he attempted to procure a drone and explosives intended for use as a weapon of mass destruction. He was arrested during a traffic stop in Kansas while driving Mayer’s stolen SUV, carrying a gun, ammunition, and over $14,000 in cash.

On the federal level, he is charged with conspiracy, attempted assassination of a U.S. president, and attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. He remains in custody on a $1 million bond and has yet to enter a plea. His arraignment is set for May 7.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward, highlighting the extensive investigation undertaken to protect public safety.
