Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and his longtime partner Melanie Hamrick are engaged — and have been for a while, according to Hamrick herself. However, despite the official status, the couple might not be heading down the aisle anytime soon.
In a recent interview with Paris Match, the 37-year-old former ballerina confirmed that she and the 81-year-old music icon have been engaged for “two or three years.” The revelation comes after years of speculation, especially when Hamrick was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand in 2023.
Still, marriage may not be in the cards for the couple just yet. “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not,” she told the French outlet. “We’re so happy in our life together now that I’d be afraid to change anything.”
Previously, Hamrick described the ring as a symbolic gesture rather than a formal engagement. Speaking to People magazine last year, she said with a laugh: “Did Mick give me the ring? Yes. Is it on that finger? Yes. But in my mind, it’s a promise ring. We’re like silly teenage let’s call it that.”

While a wedding might not be part of their immediate plans, one thing is clear — Jagger and Hamrick are content just the way they are. Whether they tie the knot or not, their enduring relationship continues to defy conventions and expectations.
