Actress Kim Delaney, best known for her Emmy-winning role in “NYPD Blue,” was arrested on Saturday in connection with a domestic dispute at her Los Angeles home. The incident, which took place in the 14000 block of Marquesas Way, resulted in both Delaney and her husband, James Morgan, being taken into custody.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a disturbance call around 9:45 a.m. Upon investigation, Delaney was arrested on felony assault with a deadly weapon charges, while Morgan was arrested for misdemeanor battery.

As of Sunday evening, Delaney remained in custody, while Morgan had been released after posting a $20,000 bond, according to court records. The couple is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at the LAX Courthouse.

The arrest comes nearly six months after Delaney publicly celebrated her second wedding anniversary with Morgan. In an Instagram post in October 2024, the actress shared her excitement about their milestone, writing, “A beautiful 2nd wedding anniversary!!! 10/11. And now anniversary weekend! Great memories! I love you, hubby- your wife for life.”

In the weeks leading up to the incident, Delaney had also posted a romantic photo of the couple with the caption “Pure love.”

Reps for the actress have not yet responded to requests for comment.

Delaney, 63, is widely recognized for her work on “NYPD Blue,” for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1997. She has also starred in popular television series such as “Army Wives,” “All My Children,” and “General Hospital.”

The details surrounding the altercation remain unclear, but law enforcement sources described it as a “heated argument that turned physical.” Authorities have not disclosed specifics regarding the alleged assault weapon involved in the case.
