Swedish furniture giant IKEA is accelerating its growth in the United States with several new store openings planned over the next two years.
Upcoming Store Openings in 2025
- After opening five new locations in 2025, IKEA will add six more stores before the end of the year.
- New large-format stores will open in San Marcos, McAllen, and Dallas, Texas.
- Plan and Order points with pick-up services will launch in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania; Beaverton, Oregon; and Hunt Valley, Maryland this summer.
Expansion Plans for 2026
- Two additional large stores are planned for Rockwall, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona.

The expansion incorporates both large-format stores and smaller Plan and Order points where customers can receive expert guidance on kitchens, bathrooms, and closets. The Plan and Order points blend online and in-store shopping experiences, featuring:

- Full services including delivery and assembly
Recent Openings
Earlier this year, IKEA opened Plan and Order points in Scottsdale, Arizona, multiple locations in California, and a pick-up point in Santa Monica.
