The National Weather Service (NWS) had warned of tornadoes, scattered hail, and wind gusts reaching up to 80 miles per hour across parts of Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. A tornado watch remains in effect until 1 a.m. Monday.

As of 10:16 p.m., Louisville Gas & Electric (LG&E) and Kentucky Utilities (KU) reported nearly 20,000 power outages due to severe weather conditions. The hardest-hit areas include Louisville’s South End and parts of east Jefferson County.
